My sis sent me another local website a couple of days ago-I've been having fun at the beach the last few days before I start work on Monday!! But finding another local website, is even more of a reason for me to just stop doing mine-there are just so many out there! But I have really enjoyed doing mine the last few years & teaching lots of free couponing classes & hearing lots of great success stories which really makes my day! You can still always email me if you have any questions! I really enjoy helping anyone out!!

Now for the other website-I haven't had a chance to really look at it-but glanced at it & it seems to be a great one! Go here to see it!

And don't get too overwhelmed by following all these blogs/websites! Just pick a couple you really like & stick with those-majority of the time they all post the same thing! I just sign up for their emails & just glance at it each night to see if anything is of interest to me-

Well thanks everyone for all your emails!! I'll be deleting my site on Sunday so take note of all the things you need to before then-like all the free things to do in St Augustine coming up-October walk up the lighthouse for free & November ride the trolley for free & go in the jail (which was really neat!) & museum for free if you are a St Johns County Resident!

I went to the St. Vincent DePaul Society Thrift Shop (19 Mcmillan Street) today-clothes are 1/2 price & movies & books-if you bring kids with you they get to pick out a free book! They also told me about a new thrift store called Alpha & Omega-it is on San Marco-if you are heading north it is right past Fort Menendez on the same side of the street-my kids were running around like crazy so I couldn't look much but it is a huge store that had everything very neat! I noticed kids clothes up to 5t was a $1 for the shirts-but they had ton!

Moneymaker at Publix!

You can go here to print out a coupon for a free product up to $3.89 for EAS Myoplex Bar or Shake & if you got the Family Style Magazine this month from Publix (you can register on their website to get it in the mail for free-the one in the store does not have coupons in it) there was a coupon for $3 off 2 in the middle of the magazine & you can print out 2 coupons so a $3 moneymaker (overage) if you get the bars!!

I was reading the SHAPE magazine this morning (free subscription!) & read something interesting!

Next time you pick up some spinach, don’t reach for the bag in the back (which is what I always do!!), A new study in the Journal of Agricultural & Food Chemistry shows that fresh spinach exposed to fluorescent lighting contained up to 100 percent more folate---plus higher levels of lutein and vitamins C, E, and K. “By exposing the leaves to continuous bright light, you stimulate photosynthesis, the process plants use to convert sunlight into energy,” says lead researcher Gene Lester, Ph.D, a USDA scientist. “That increases the level of those five nutrients.” According to Lester, supermarket lighting has the same effect on all leafy greens, so whether you’re shopping for butter lettuce, or red romaine, grab from the front!

I forgot to mention another website that is local that you may find helpful!

Thanks Judi!

Publix Trip!

I got lots of great deals at Publix today-I used 55 coupons & unfortunately had a rude cashier-there was only 1 to choose from or I wouldn't have gone to her (I look for happy faces!!)-she argued with me several times how to hand her coupons & very rudely told me that she was a grown up & knew how to scan coupons (well she is working at Publix so I sure hope she is a grown up & knows how to scan coupons!!) & many more things-yes I called the store manager right when I got home & complained-rude people do not need to be working at Publix...where shopping is suppose to be a pleasure!! I didn't want to complain but she had me all worked up!

Here are a few of my deals I scored!

Power of Fruit All-Fruit Bars, Assorted Varieties, 10.5oz box BOGO $3.39
-$1/1 Power of Fruit (zip 34986)
-$1/1 Power of Fruit

Cascadian Farm Granola, 13.25-17 oz., or Granola Bars, 6.2-7.4 oz., at $3.99 ($1.99)
-$1 off Cascadian Farm Granola Bars Earth Fare coupon printable (makes it 99¢)
-$1 off any Cascadian Farm product (register) printable
(I LOVE these bars & they have new kid ones out now!)

Sprout Organic Baby Food, 3.5 oz., at 99¢ (49¢)
B1G1 Free Sprout Baby Food Publix Smart Savings Booklet
(this makes it totally free-yay!)

Yoplait Go-Gurt Portable Yogurt, 8 pk. 2.25 or 2.5 oz. tube, at $2.69($1.34)
-$1/1 Yoplait Go-Gurt printable (makes it 34¢)

Stouffer’s Family Size Entrees $3.99

I also got green beans, zucchinni, tomatos & eggplant that is on sale this week-I am making a recipe tonite with it all & making homemade pizza tomorrow night with it-you have to learn how to plan your meals around with what is on sale!

Thanks southernsavers.com for coupon matchups!

As a lot of you know me & my hubby are switching roles & I am going to be working full time very soon-in about a week! We are very excited about this new adventure & very excited that 2 of our children are going to be where I work (I am going to be a school nurse at their school)! So I know a lot of you work full time as well so this will be a whole new ballgame for me getting all the deals! Luckily I have such a HUGE stockpile of the free things from CVS & Walgreens I can take a break from there! But I finally figured out how to sign up for daily emails from 2 of my favorite sites so thought I'd share-this saves me a lot more time than checking them throughout the day-I do still check hip2save.com through the day but the others I just read the email when I get it.

Iheartpublix.com is on the top there is a heart with an envelope on it-you click on it & will get an email confirming your subscription-simple! I love this website because it is all about publix & I always check it before I go on my publix trip to see if there are any other deals out there!

Whosaidnothinginlifeisfree.com is another great one-she posts the deals sometimes sooner than hip2save.com does & she is located in Orlando-if you scroll down it is on the left hand side to sign up for hers.

Those are the only 2 I follow regularly besides hip2save.com. I check southernsavers.com only for the publix ad just to double check to see if iheartpublix.com missed anything but I do sign up for her emails as well & glance at them.

I just found about this one tonite but I know a lot of you in her area follow my blog so check out her site-I think she just started it http://frugaljacksonvillemom.com/

I probably won't be posting that often but please email if you find any great deals & I will post them for you!!

  • B2G1 FREE: Kashi Frozen Entree, Pizza, Cereal or Snacks Target Store Q PRINT
  • $1/2 Kashi Cereal 12-oz. or larger Target Store Coupon PRINT
I went to Target today & got 2 Tide Travel Size Detergents & 3 boxes of Kashi Cereal for $1.67! I used the 2 coupons above (thanks iheartpublix.com) & I had 3 $1 off peelies that were on the cereal box! I used the $1 off any size Tide coupon-it beeped but she pushed it through & did it for $1!

Free Backpack at Staples!

I know a lot of you may be excited about the free backpack at Staples this week & I was too until I realized that it was a gift card & not a rebate check. If you normally shop at Staples then it's a good deal-but I normally don't except for the cheap paper so it would take me forever to use up a gift card & I wouldn't want to take the chance of losing it! You can get backpacks for pretty cheap anyhow especially after school starts so you can get one for the following year-they go real cheap on clearance at Ross & Marshall's-I got lucky this year & found one for my son for $1 at a consignment store & got my daughter a princess one at Walmart.com with free shipping to my home for $10! Staples did have great laptop shoulder bags that were free so if you shop at Staples then it's a great deal! I just wanted to give my little two sense! I know I use to run & get every deal when I first started out & didn't realize that sometimes it just wasn't that great of a deal!

But the paper is a .01 again this week-the easy saver rebate is SO EASY!!

Cheap Odwalla Bars!

At my Publix Odwalla bars are on clearance for .97 & there was .55 off coupons in the Smart Savings coupon booklet if you got one of those!
