Using the Internet for GOOD!
The guy who made this temple video created it in response to Elder Ballard's Ensign article to use the internet for good. I think its awesome! And there was a link below to this Glenn Beck movie...definitely worth watching. AND there are NO commercials. :)

Library
I forgot to mention to that if the library doesn't have something you want you can request it for them to purchase or do an interlibrary loan...they bought the Work and the Glory's because I requested it...but I get a lot of interlibrary loans.
And we just watched the best series! Janette Oke's book series...Love Comes Softly was turned into movies and they were so good...very clean. Here is the website to get them...the library has all of them except the last 2. One was just released this year so I am not sure if the other 2 will be released or not. But we really enjoyed watching them...

Limelight Theatre
Hey all,
I work at the Limelight Theatre in uptown St. Augustine. This season we will offer five Main Stage shows, four Studio shows and four children's shows. For our Main Stage and Studio shows, we have a preview night performance. Preview nights are always the Thursday before opening night. Previews are only $10, and they are a great way to check out a live show for an inexpensive price. Our Terrific Tuesdays are always the first Tuesday after opening weekend, and tickets on these Tuesdays are 2 for $25. Children's show ticket prices vary, and are usually a little less expensive than the regular season. Feel free to call the Limelight at 825-1164 and ask for me and I'd be happy to send you our schedule. We are a wonderful organization, and I'm so happy to work there. My favorite part of the job is the kids, and watching their faces when the magic of live theatre appears before their eyes. It's awesome. I invite you all to stop in, even if you can't make it to a show, I'd be happy to give you a tour and talk about the theatre.

Library/Redbox
The library is a great place to get movies! It has saved us so much money! They get all the new movies every Tuesday (the release date for movies, and you can usually sign up a week before for it so you are on the hold list. They also have a Library Elf thing that lets you know when they are due back so you don't forget! They let you customize it how you want. It takes a little getting use to, but you won't never have to spend another dollar on a movie again! They let you keep it for 3 days! Thursday is the best day to pick them up because they are closed on Sunday, so they aren't due back until Monday! AND you just have to have it in the night drop before they open the next day which is 10 am....
You can sign up on their website...www.sjcpls.org to receive a calendar of events so you know what is going on. There is a branch on the Island, Southeast, Hastings, I think in Ponte Vedra and one in town off of US 1...And you can return the movies to ANY branch...even in Jacksonville (as long as it is in St Johns County). You can sign up for the newsletter and they will send you an email when they have the new movies in the system and what they are (but most of the time they have them in there before they send it).
You can also sign up for a text message at Redbox's website and you get a free movie rental every Monday-they send you a code!! You can't reserve a movie online though, you have to do it in person.
FYI-IF you can't figure out how to post....you click the comments and post your comment-I have it set up where everyone can see it and just click on comments to view them..it will say 0 comments, 1 comment....! It's easy!

Sea World FYI
Most of you may know but just in case you don't Sea World gives free admission to military and teachers...you can see below, I copied it from a website, and you should call Sea World to clarify. I know people that has done both, but always call to make sure in case things change.
Budweiser is honored to salute the men and women of our armed forces and their families. Throughout 2008, members of the military and as many as three direct dependents may enter any one of Anheuser-Busch's SeaWorld, Busch Gardens or Sesame Place parks with a single-day complimentary admission.
For your service and sacrifice, we thank you.
Florida Teachers FREE Study Pass
Florida teachers can get a FREE "Study Pass" that provides unlimited admission to SeaWorld Orlando. The Study Pass is good for a year of visits to SeaWorld Orlando from August to August (so if redeemed in October 2007 it will be good through August 2008). Parking and other discounts are not included. To be eligible you must have a valid Florida teaching certificate and be employed at an accredited school as a full-time classroom teacher. To receive a Study Pass, present your teaching certificate, a photo ID and your most recent paycheck stub at the Annual Pass Center located at the Main Entrance.
