I love to find good deals and thought it would be fun to start a blog to share them! A little about me-I am a young mom & have 3 little kiddos who keep me very busy! I know couponing & finding good deals can be time consuming but at least I am doing it with them & they are learning how to be thrifty too! ~Ripley’s Believe it or Not is $5 for admission for St Johns County Residents/Contact 904-824-1606
~St. Augustine Lighthouse is free during the month of October and ½ off all other months for residents-You have to be 44 inches to climb up, you can go in the musuem, walk in nature trails and in the gardens/Contact 904- 829-0745
~At http://www.hometownpass.com/ you can register and the following things are free the entire month of November (except the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving): Old Town Trolley Tours of St. Augustine, The Florida Heritage Museum and the Old Jail
~Ripley’s Sightseeing Trains is ½ off or FREE with an out of town guest for residents/Contact 904-824-1606
~Amphitheatre is a great place...movies are free, and they do fun things for holidays...www.staugamphitheatre.com
~Splash Park is a fun place at the beach next to the pier-it is free.
~ Uptown Saturday Night: 5–9 p.m. the last Saturday night of each month on San Marco Avenue, shopping district. Selected galleries and antique merchants hold extended hours with entertainment and other activities. FREE!
~Free Concerts at the City Plaza: Memorial Day – Labor Day, every Thursday evening in the Plaza de la ConstituciĆ³n, downtown St. Augustine. All you need is your chair! To view the schedule go to www.plazaconcerts.com.
~Music by the Sea Concert Series: Every Wednesday, mid May – mid October at the St. Augustine Beach Pier Pavilion. Free concerts and local restaurants offering dinners for sale at the Pavilion. Bring your beach chair and coolers, it’s great for all ages.
~First Friday Art Walk: An art event that takes place in galleries throughout downtown St. Augustine from 5–9 p.m. the first Friday of each month. See new art by local, regional and national artists, hear live bands and enjoy wine, cheese and other refreshments. Free trolley rides by Old Town Trolley Tours will be provided for art walk participants. FREE!
~Fort Matanzas-free ferry ride over to the fort and nature trail. Fort Matanzas National Monument is open to the public from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM every day of the year except December 25. ---Walmart accepts competitor ads-has to be same product and they do not honor buy one get one items
---Publix accepts competitor coupons-for example $10 off a $50 purchase from Winn-dixie
---Print out Target's coupons from their kiosk (where you print out registries) and as far as I know, they can be used at Publix
---Sign up for Food Lion's email to get coupons that you can also use at Publix
---Call 1 800 numbers on back of frequently used products and ask to be put on their coupon mailing list
---When there is a sale 3 for $5, you normally do not have to buy 3 things to get sale price, and at Food Lion their buy one get one free's ring up half price so you don't have to buy 2
---Sign up for baby clubs at grocery stores (Food Lion, Publix & Winn-Dixie to get free coupons) and Publix Preschool Pals which is a great program!
---Sign up for Publix's magazines on their website which mail out coupons inside the magazine-also check circular in store for additional coupons
---Don't forget about rainchecks!
---If something is wrong with a food item you buy...yogurt is bad, cereal was opened, whatever...CALL the 1-800 number and they will send you replacement coupons-do not just throw it away!
---Check manufacturer websites for coupons
---Buy gifts (toys, baby stuff) when they are on sale to put up for Christmas/birthday/shower gifts-this saves me TONS!
