And a lot of times you have to put your email address, so if you haven't already, I would definitely make up a "junk" email account-if not you will start getting LOTS of newsletter or junk mail!

Question Time!
My answer: They are usually in the PG (Proctor & Gamble) Insert in the beginning of the month as they expire the last day of that month. I posted a picture but you probably can't see if very well, but it says $1 off one ANY size Tide-some people look at the picture & assume it is only good on the large ones but since it says ANY then that means it can be used on the trial sizes (a lot of times coupons say except trial size). I normally don't buy the Tide since it is expensive so I always use my coupons on the trial size ones & just wash my sheets with it since it smells so good! At Wal-Mart they are .97 & depending on the cashier, they may adjust the coupon down to .97-my coupon beeped & the cashier asked which one I got & I pointed out that it says "ANY" size & she said you're right & just pushed it through (meaning she manually put it in).
Thanks Michelle for asking-I'm sure this helped someone else too-I enjoy getting emails so please anyone email with any questions-I'm sure there are others with the same questions!

The Tide Coupon for $1 off any size tide is expiring 5/31 so make sure you use it-at Wal-Mart they are .97 for the trial size!
Question from Reader:
Use the $1.50/1 coupon found here
Use the $2/1 coupon from the May Coupon Booklet
Final Cost $3.49!
Answer:
It is the store policy to accept 1 manufacturer coupon & 1 store coupon per item BUT Walgreens only accepts 1 coupon per item without the system beeping so if you are buying an item that does not have a coupon, then you can use both coupons without any problem-I usually get lucky finding great clearance finds under $1 that I can use as gifts around the store or there are caramels at the front register for .30 but then you are wasting .30-but I am too cheap! You can always print out a picture too-but that takes more time! In the past, when they have had the "free or cheap" picture deals I wouldn't pick it up until I was in this situation where I had to have a "filler" item & even though the pictures ring up as free, they still have to check it out through the system so it still counts as an item-hopefully that isn't confusing-you'll get better & creative the more you do it!
I did this same deal at CVS because I had a $2 off CVS coupon & CVS does not have that rule. CVS is a lot easier to deal with than Walgreens but I like Walgreens since you can use the RR at Publix!

I ordered 4 packs!! I have in the past bought Quilted Northern 6 double rolls (so 12 rolls) for $1.67 at Food Lion so that is .13 a roll too-but that deal doesn't come very often & seldom comes when there is a manufacturer coupon for it & my stockpile on TP is getting low!

Homemade Pizza Recipe!
I used whole wheat flour & my toppings were: mozzarella & cheddar cheese, bell peppers, tomatoes, garlic (fresh cloves we had leftover), & onions so it was a pretty healthy dinner! Zucchini is also great too on top!
This makes 1 pizza crust & I spread it out pretty thin!
1tsp baking powder
1 1/3 cups whole wheat flour (or regular-I just use whole wheat since it is better for you!)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup skim milk
2 Tbsp olive oil
Mix flour, baking powder & salt, Stir in milk & oil, knead dough on flat surface for a few minutes, shape in ball & cover with bowl x 10 minutes, spray cookie sheet or pan with cooking spray & flatten out & bake 8 minutes (this helps it to be crispy & not soggy!) & then Top & bake on 375 for 15-20 minutes! SOOOOOO easy!!
Tab's Tips Thursdays!
Here is my quick tip:
When I am searching websites for the deals or reading emails instead of my kids watching a movie on our tv I pull up hulu.com & play a cartoon for them (I make both screens half the size so they can both fit-they love watching new shows-Inspector Gadget being a favorite!) & I get to snuggle with them at the same time!
I had no idea hulu had kids shows & even movies-I was excited about Lifetime movies!!
Well that is my tip for the day!! If you want to send me questions-I can start answering them & posting them on here because I am sure they will help someone else as well!
I saw this on craigslist-it is expensive but you can hear a FREE 2 minute demo-my daughter thought it was so cool that the "princesses" were singing a song with her name in it-she loved it! It would be $23.95 after the coupon code-it's cute to play for your child's birthday party! I've never seen these before so you may can find a better deal...

Tuesday, May 18, 2010
I follow Hip2Save.com-I signed up for her newsletter so I get it once a day-but I do check it throughout the day if I have access to a computer. She posts some great deals-some that go really fast!
I follow Iheartpublix.com for my publix ad-she posts the ad on Monday, which here doesn't start until that Thursday & ends the following Wednesday so this gives me time to call the companies who have the item on sale to ask for coupons to be mailed & most of the time I get them in the mail before the sale ends, if not, if the item was out of stock, then I can get a raincheck & use the coupon when I get it in stock. Now yes, this could be time consuming, but I usually email the company if I am on the computer or I call the 1-800 # while I am doing dishes or cooking-I LOVE to multitask! Iheartpublix posts more deals all throughout the week so I do check it-I usually do my grocery shopping at Publix on Wednesday, that way all the deals have been posted so I don't have to make another trip! That is just what works for me! When I first look at the ad-what I do is copy & paste the deal (with the coupon matchup or link to print) & put it in an email to myself with everything I plan to buy-then I sit down when I get a chance (usually at night when my kids are asleep!) & print or look up the coupons in the previous inserts & get my shopping list together & I paper clip them all together & have everything ready for my shopping trip! Now, some coupons do go fast, so if I know it is a high value coupon or one that reaches it's limit fast (meaning that every coupon has a print limit, for example if it is 100, once 100 people print out that coupon-it is gone), I go ahead & print it right then.
Now, some people have access to a computer from work, if you can't print anything, then just copy & paste the deals you want & send the email to yourself & then do it once you get home or just pick a day to do it. But I highly recommend shopping at Publix. I do go to Winn-Dixie (it's a great week this week-.75 a lb apples, $1.99 pineapple, oats 18 oz .99 each) & Food Lion periodically if it has good deals. Like last week at Food Lion grapes were .99lb-I wanted to go get that-but I don't live too close to one, so to me, it isn't worth my time, or gas to drive there just to save $1 or $2 on grapes! So I just be patient & wait for them to go that cheap again when I have more of a reason to go or if I happen to go to Walmart (which I rarely do-it had been 2 mos since I went this past time)-I would bring the ad in there & price match it (I keep the ads in my car).
I have been doing this for a long time. Like I said before, I go to Publix once a week on Wednesday. And I go to Walgreens usually on Monday when it is a good week as the items are still in stock that day-I usually drop my son off at VPK & run in with my other 2 kiddos who are luckily good shoppers! CVS I just do when I get a chance as I know I can get a raincheck on the "free" items & get them another time-I typically go when I get to go exercise since it is just right around the corner or I run in one day after I drop off my son as my little girl LOVES to drive the car buggy around so it is a treat for her! & those are pretty much the only 3 places I go to. I use to go to the discount store pretty regularly (would stop in every chance I got), but lately haven't as I have just been finding way better deals at Publix! I do love getting their organic annie's crackers & luckily I got over 10 boxes that didn't expire until November last time I was there so I am pretty stocked up!
That doesn't sound too time consuming, right?! The most time consuming part for me is fitting all my groceries in my already stocked pantry & cabinets each week!
Now, a lot of people that are starting out, it is hard to just all of a sudden stop shopping at Wal-Mart & do Publix & it may take some time, but you have to get the paper each week (I would recommend 2 each week since with BOGO deals you can use 2 coupons!) & you can do the deals iheartpublix posted. Now, a lot of people follow Southern Savers which I think is a great website as well (she has check boxes that you can check to make your shopping list & print out!), & I do check it after I do Iheartpublix to see if there is anything the other missed-I just think Iheartpublix.com is easier to read, but that is strictly a preference! But to sum it up Walmart is not cheaper unless you need an item right then & it is not on sale-but then you would end up buying other things that also aren't on sale so if you still shopped at Publix & grabbed a thing here & there that wasn't on sale (which if you stockpile you shouldn't have to!) it would still end up being cheaper than going to Wal-Mart. Publix is more expensive when things are not on sale on the majority of things that is why you have to follow the ad that Southern Savers or iheartpublix.com posts-it's simple!
If you are just starting out-start with grocery shopping as that is the highest expense-once you get that down (which should be pretty quick) start with CVS-which is a lot easier to work with than Walgreens-but the RR (Register Rewards) you get at Walgreens can be used at Publix so that definitely helps me out! Hip2Save.com gives detailed explanation of Walgreens & CVS (scroll to the bottom of her site). But if you are just extremely busy then just focus on the grocery shopping as you can still get free deodorant, shaving cream, razors, & medicine from Publix-just not as often as the drugstores!
I do usually do Publix alone since luckily it is only like 2 minutes from my house! But if it is an easy week (meaning not that many deals), then I bring my girls with me as they love driving the buggy around & 1 loves getting a cookie! But if possible, I definitely recommend going alone, but if you don't or even if you are & forget to use some coupons, just bring them in next time you go in the store with your receipt & let them know & they are more than happy to accept them & give you your money back!
Do I get tired of going to get all the deals...yes! But I do LOVE going grocery shopping-that has never stopped but going to CVS & Walgreens can be a chore sometimes! Especially when I already have more or less of 30 razors, 20 body washes, 20 toothpaste, 30 toothbrushes, 20 floss-it's only when it is a moneymaker that I go out & get the deals as I am too cheap to pay the tax even if it is free-because I already have plenty! But if you feel overwhelmed-then take a break! There is nothing wrong with that! Now you may ask why I love to grocery shop-the answer is because I think it is so fun to get all these great deals & knowing that I am providing for my family in the way that I can makes me feel good!
I hope this helps-I enjoy getting emails from people so thanks to all those who have sent me them & please let me know if you have any questions!

Dove Deoderant is a great money maker too! If you go to their website, you can print out 2, $1.50 coupons (these are BOGO at $2.29) & to make it even better there is a .55 Publix coupon in the Family Rewards booklet-my store was all out but she had one behind the counter she gave me & she also said that if you know what coupon it is, she can call another store who still has one & get the L.U # & still honor it! I got 4 deoderants & even though I only had 1 coupon, they still rang up 4 coupons-I didn't even know about that coupon until a fellow couponer told me about it in line today at Publix-thanks again if you read this! So that was a $3.62 moneymaker minus the tax (I had 2 computers so printed out 4 coupons!).

But Walgreens has Soft Scrub Cleansers BOGO & you can use the buy one get one FREE coupon from here (login or register and click on Member Exclusive Offers link on the left) (thanks hip2save for posting!) I had no problems using it this morning & they even had the spray bottles that are toilet & bathroom cleaners BOGO too! I only did 2 deals (I printed 4 since I have 2 computers) because they were all out, but since it isn't a RR deal you can get a raincheck & there was no limit! Yay! So that saved me having to make another trip this week!
But Wags had lots of clearance-tons in the picture frame aisle so look around if you have a chance-I didn't get to-I was in a hurry to get home to go for a walk/run with the girls before it got too hot-such a nice day so I'm not sure if there were any great deals so let me know if you find any!
Friday, May 7, 2010
And also-Publix is doing the Buy Theirs Get Ours Free-none of the deals were that great like the olives-with the coupon they ended up being .72 I think & the lowest you can get them on sale is .38. .72 is still a good deal if you need them! But I would recommend keeping a small notebook with things you normally buy & putting the lowest price you have seen it for & when you see it for that low-STOCK up! I write mine in pencil because just when I think I couldn't possibly get it for any cheaper...I do!

This is prob the last week (ends next Wed when essentials will prob change) for the capri suns at Publix for .79! There are on sale for $1.79 & there was a $1 coupon in the insert & there are 10 in a box-I like the Roarin' Waters-I don't normally give these to my kids but I get them for birthday parties!
If you "like" Lindsay Olives on facebook, you get a $1 coupon off the GREEN olives-which would make them free at Wal-Mart (at least last time I checked).
If you "like" Nabisco 100 cal snacks you get a BOGO coupon-these haven't been BOGO in a while so hopefully they will be before the coupon expires & you can get them totally FREE!
Saturday is the last day at Target to get the canned Del Monte vegetables for .50! I haven't seen any coupons so I just emailed Del Monte to get some mailed to me since they were all out at Target & I got a raincheck!
It's been a nice break from CVS & Walgreens this week but next week is great! CVS has great moneymakers next week-$2 moneymaker on the Kotex U Tampons/pads-check out iheartcvs.com & print them before they are gone!! Walgreens is also good too next week-$2 moneymaker on the new razor (with the coupon in the paper this week). & Don't forget you can use those at Publix!
